My Dearest Weary Traveler

Have you been walking through a season of darkness and difficulty?

Do you find it hard to believe that you can ever thrive when you feel so exhausted and overwhelmed?

Are you wondering how you can even make it to the next hour when you feel so hopeless and beat down; when the weight of your struggle feels as though you’ve been sunk to the bottom of the ocean wrapped in chains of distress, discouragement, and pain?

Is the thought of even getting out of bed a monumental task some days?

Maybe even taking a shower or eating a healthy meal feels like too much.

Perhaps in your exhaustion, you don’t even recognize yourself anymore.

It can feel impossible.

In those seasons, it can be hard to find your peace, to find your balance,
to find hope again and to remember the great wisdom that,” this too, shall pass.”

Even as a believer in the redeeming power of Jesus, in our humanness with a
very limited view of our world, sometimes even the most faithful of believers
can lose sight of the hope that God has promised. (Really! Check out the story of Elijah)

I want to take this moment to tell you that it’s ok to not be ok.

It’s ok to cry, it’s ok to be sad and mad and it’s ok to feel overwhelmed and all the feeling that come with the valleys.

It’s ok to accept where you are in today- ugly tears and all.

You’ve been going through a lot.

Please, my dear one, remember to show yourself some grace.

Be kind to yourself and remember that this won’t last forever, even though
it feels as such. (this sentiment bears repeating!)

Let me be your encourager in this moment,

to remind you that our loving Father is still there, and He will never leave
you nor abandon you.

I know it may feel like He is not there but rest assured.

He is with you.

And He will give you relief.

He will give you energy to get through each moment.

And He will give you peace

My dear weary traveler, sometimes it can be difficult to see the bigger
picture or understand why we’re facing certain challenges, but rest assured
that God is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28)

You are not alone.

God sees your weariness, and He longs to give you rest and strength. Turn to
Him in prayer, meditate on His word, and lean on His promises.

And remember, it is in our weakness that His strength can shine in us and through us; and in Him, you can find the encouragement and hope you need to press on.

I know the road ahead may seem daunting but take heart in the knowledge that
you are loved beyond measure by a God who never leaves your side.

Find refuge in His promises, draw strength from His word, and rest in the
assurance of His unfailing love.

May you find renewed hope and strength amid your weariness, knowing that you are held securely in the palm of His hand.

With love and prayers,

your fellow traveler
